Ordered the essential kit preplanning for a cubscout campout. Needless to say they didnt send the firestarters....just a case, patch, and lighter. Im STILL waiting for them to even send the fire plugs but they wanted a review. Kinda hard to review an item when it's missing, lol. Hopefully I get it sooner than later for our next campout in 2 weeks. So, poorly rated for now since I can't rate something I dont have that they forgot.

Great size! It holds what I need for a fire kit along with a couple last ditch mylar sheets so if I'm down to nothing else I should be able to get by.

Experimented with lighting them in water ,which we here in the PNW get plenty of,worked like claimed. Burn time individually was longer than anticipated,they light easily,but not much luck with a Ferro Rod,will need to practice on that a little more.
Bought to keep in vehicles for those unexpected situations.

I just bought the fire lighter and the fire plugs. I’ve always use black beer with a black fire stick. They were great and do a lot of camping and it helps for what I need.
