Never Be "That Guy" Around the Fire Again.

Everyone's gathered around the fire pit...

Someone hands you the lighter.

Five minutes later you're still burning newspaper, squirting lighter fluid, and wondering why the fire won't catch.

Skip the frustration. Light one Fire Starter and enjoy the fire instead.

Why The Black Beard Fire Starter?

Starts Fires in Seconds

Spend less time struggling and more time enjoying the fire. Whether you're lighting a backyard fire pit, indoor fireplace, wood stove, or cabin fire, simply pull out a fire plug, fluff the fibers, and light. No kindling battles. No frustration. Just an easy fire every time.

Cleaner Than Traditional Fire Starters

Forget smelly lighter fluid and messy fire starters that leave residue behind. Black Beard burns clean, is odorless, non-toxic, and keeps your fire starting routine simple and enjoyable.

Works When You Need It

Waterproof, windproof, and always ready. Store one by the fireplace, keep one in the garage, or toss one in your patio bin. With a shelf life of up to 30 years, it's always ready whenever it's time to build a fire.

One Bag Starts Up to 50 Fires

Each bag of fire starters comes with 50 fire plugs. Use only what you need, save the rest for next time, In normal conditions you can even use half a plug.

Customers praised this fire starter for being "simple to use" and working "exactly as advertised." Shoppers highlighted its reliability, with one saying "they have yet to fail." Many appreciated the convenience and fast shipping. One customer noted it's "great for teaching kids about fire safety." The only minor feedback was wishing they'd purchased the full kit.

The fireplugs are a favorite of our family for starting fires here in the PNW winters. We have some in all our daypacks as well since you never know. Thanks for making such a quality product. I've even given them as gifts to some of my camping friends.

Not very impressed at all, the plugs are very easy to ignite, but they only burn for maybe 2 minutes if that, which does you know good if the stuff you're trying to catch on fire is a little wet. On top of that they forgot to send me my Ferro rod. Just overall not what I was expecting especially cuz I could have sworn I remembered saying it could burn for over 5 minutes. And even at the very end of the burn it was barely burning so really you only get 60 seconds of solid flame out of it. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the easy ignition and because they did not hesitate to send me a ferro rod after I reached out

They don't burn quite as long as I expected. Easy to light if fluffed with ferro rod.

Works exactly as advertised. I used to make a similar starter years ago but there’s no point now when they make it so convenient.

Lifelong hunter here. I wish I wouldve had these fire starters back when my father and I were hunting in the early 80's. These wouldve made life so much easier.

I have put these fire plugs through the ringer and they have yet to fail

I was skeptical at first but after getting these and trying them I feel like every American needs to have a Black Beard fire kit in their home or in their car or both!

Very durable and reliable gear. Cant beat the fact that its also made in America.
